The papermill Herisem and former cardboard factory Winderickx in Belgium near Brussels is a former 19th-century industrial complex that grew out of an old paper mill, which was raised in 1536.

 

The complex as a whole is one of the best preserved examples of the marvelous paper- and cardboard industry in the region of Flemish Brabant.

 

It is on the national treasure list of protected buildings in Belgium as industrial heritage and is recognized by the European Commission as an example project for preserving architectural heritage.
